Le label Putumayo, spécialisé dans les compilations thématiques par pays, région ou genre, vient de sortir l’album Jazz Around the World, où l’on peut trouver notre reprise de Chan Chan, disponible sur notre album “Part III”.

Voici un très beau clip de ce titre par le Buena Vista Social Club, mixant une version live enregistrée en 1998 et des images de Cuba.

“Chan Chan” est une chanson du genre Son Cubano, composée par Compay Segundo en 1987. Une version de ce titre avec lui même, Eliades Ochoa et Ibrahim Ferrer est la première chanson de l’album Buena Vista Social Club et est devenue un succès mondial.
